My name is Maryrose and I am the Clinical Director at The Haven Clinic

​

I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, fully accredited with the IACP. I hold a BA. in Holistic and Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy, ICPPD. 

​

I also hold a H.Dip in Personnel Management from UCC, Dip. Life and Executive Coaching, PSG,Dip. Leadership Coaching, PSG. 

​

I have also trained in Mindfulness and hold a Certificate in the Therapeutic use of Mindfulness, IICP. I have taken CPD training in Polyvagal Theory and the Neuroscience of connection to enhance the treatment of Trauma and Anxiety with Dr. Sherrie All.

I hold a Cert in Body Positive Psychotherapy from the Body Positive Institute.

I have completed ASIST Training (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills). I have worked within the HSE in the area of Family Support within the Mental Health Services and have trained in the Meriden Model of Caring for Carers.

I have facilitated support groups and wellness days for families impacted by mental health difficulty and have worked and continue to work on research in this area.  

I personally work with individuals aged 16 and over. My main approach is Person centred but I also draw from other counselling modalities such as CBT Gestalt, Polyvagal and Pscyhosynthesis.

I am passionate in my work as a Counsellor & Psychotherapist having worked for a number of years with Individuals helping them on their journey of healing.

At the clinic Counselling & Psychotherapy services are provided by professionals who hold suitable and recognised qualifications in the field of Counseling & Psychotherapy.

Services at the Haven Clinic are provided by fully affiliated and professionally accredited APCP, IACP, NAPCP, IAHIP Counsellors, jointly with qualified pre-accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapists who are currently working towards professional accreditation. 

We also have within the Clinic trainees who are completing advanced level degrees and as such studying towards Bachelor of Arts/Science Honours Degree and Masters Degree levels in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

We work always abiding by Codes of Ethics within the Counselling and Psychotherapy fields and all those working at the clinic are professionally insured and are supervised by Accredited Supervisors.
